Menurut kabar yang beredar dari mantan eksekutif Sony menyebutkan bahwa Miyazaki kemungkinan terlalu sibuk untuk mengawasi langsung proyek baru terkait Bloodborne.

    Namun, di sisi lain, ia dikabarkan tidak ingin memberikan proyek tersebut kepada orang lain untuk dikerjakan tanpa pengawasannya.
