Trailer yang diunggah ke kanal resmi Call of Duty memperlihatkan antusiasme yang tidak sesuai harapan. Alih-alih disambut positif, jumlah dislike terlihat jauh melampaui angka like. Fenomena ini jelas menunjukkan kekecewaan fans terhadap arah baru yang coba ditawarkan Activision lewat seri ketujuh ini.
